IMG_20121214_214807My greatest desire is that you will find value in the content of these pages and that you will return often.  If nothing else, I am grateful for the opportunity to openly express my immense respect for our planet and my enduring love for the life-giving energy which it provides to us all.  Further, I am obliged to express the profound sense of peace which I feel as I engage in an expanded personal spiritual exercise of self love…a love which is finally taking form here in the creation (and hopefully maintenance) of this humble little website.  While perhaps a drop in the universal bucket, this effort promises to fulfill the deepest longings of my soul.  I have chosen, as always, to express my deep philosophical truths through my favorite symbols – my words and my food.  I pray that every soul may experience the deep reverence for all life (including their own) that I have been so blessed to have felt time and time again.  Thank you for choosing to spend your time with me.

  1. Wow, look at you – Cooking with Jazz…

Good luck with your new adventure. Hope all is well and you are happy and healthy.

    Best, Pat

  2. Your photos are “ALMOST” perfect, but green bananas (starch)
might not do my digestion any good…I like mine with brown
spots! On my recent trip to Florida I enjoyed daily stops at
ROBERT’S fruit stand where I enjoyed large cups of freshly
squeezed sugar cane juice. Now that I am back home in New Jersey, I freely admit that withdrawal is a bitch!
    Good luck with your site!!!

    • I love Robert Is Here!!! Great to meet you – I will definitely link up to your page…and please feel free to do the same! I will be in touch.

  3. Lovely website!

I have tasted your cuisine several times and find it simply amazing that such a young person like yourself has such a vast and profound culinary knowledge.

I have studied in France at Le Cordon Bleu and could not hold a candle to you when it comes to vegetarian cooking.

You have my deepest respect and you are such a happy and bubbly person.

Best wishes and hope you open a restaurant over here in Madrid, Spain sometime!!

  4. The website looks great! you have any suggestions for a no or very low sugar diet. Im in a police academy and Im trying to drop 20 pounds…its not that easy, anyways good luck with your new venture!!

    • Everything here will always be naturally low in sugar because I don’t eat added sugars of any kind – only fruit and natural non-glycemic sweeteners. It is hard to change, but that’s why I started this – to give others hope that you CAN still enjoy food. After a couple of weeks completely off sugar, you won’t even miss it because your taste buds will adjust. Feel free to post specific questions on my Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/chefambermarie) that you would like me to tackle in the blog. And, whatever you do, don’t starve yourself! I know it’s tempting to diet because we tell ourselves that less food equals less calories…but…if you eat reasonable portions every few hours, the weight will actually STAY OFF because you will keep your metabolism consistent. Hang in there, and read on! Thanks for your support! 🙂

  5. Congratulations on your proverbial “drop in the universal bucket.” Look forward to seeing your ideas, and good luck!
